Super Tuesday – February 5, 2008

“Super Tuesday” was the most important day of the primary and caucus season of the most important general election in the United States of America in my lifetime.

For what it’s worth, the 2008 election currently underway is the most interesting in the 36 years since I cast my first presidential ballot in 1972.

I am curious to know what my oldest and dearest friends, relatives, comrades, colleagues, and mentors think about this.

I have e-mailed invitations to just about every person I ever seriously discussed politics with asking them to post a comment. The list includes some people I haven’t communicated with in years because I really just want to know what they think and because I value the opinions of those who lived through the turmoil of the 1960s and 1970s and know that, despite the media hype, those years were about a lot more than drugs and rock ‘n roll.

So far, I have over twenty thoughtful comments by people with many years of experience as activists, writers, and scholars.

Please select a candidate or “None of the Above” in the poll in the right sidebar and click to record your vote (Please only vote once).

Click “ Comments ” link to read comments left by other friends.

Click “ Leave a Comment ” link to type a brief statement of your views.

There is no “right” or “wrong” answer. Just say what you think.

Thanks,
